
Gluten Free Bread Making Course
Can’t eat bread containing gluten? There’s no reason why you can’t still enjoy a delicious loaf of homemade gluten-free bread! There’s nothing quite as satisfying as enjoying a tasty bite from a warm loaf of bread that YOU took the time to make. Join us for an education and fun experience!
In our gluten-free bread making course/workshop, we cover the core fundamentals of gluten-free bread baking. By the end of the workshop, you will have all the knowledge necessary to make quality gluten free bread with an artisan twist. Even though our core passion is classic European style breads, we’ve found that the vast variety of gluten-free flours is intriguing and makes beautiful and delicious loaves!
On the course we will cover:– Gluten-free flours and binders
– The science behind gluten-free breads.
– The gluten-free bread making process.
– The baker’s formula.
– Shaping techniques.
– Different baking techniques.
Our workshops are half-day workshops that you can choose to attend on an available date below. We currently run the courses in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The workshop will include hands-on practical teaching (prepare to get your hands messy!) where you will get to make your own gluten-free bread from scratch. Each person will make a whole-grain artisan-style loaf and a simple sandwich loaf. We also include tea, coffee, and refreshments.
(Dominique and I have been running our monthly artisan bread baking workshops since 2015. Authentic bread baking is our passion, and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.)

Johannesburg Venue: Our home bakery at 90 Phantom Street, Raceview, Alberton.Cape Town Venue: 34 Children’s Way, Bergvliet, Cape Town.
Our Gluten-Free Bread Baking course will be run mostly on week mornings or some Saturdays/Sundays (see below for dates). New dates are scheduled every few months.
Price: R900 per person
If you would like to give the course as a gift (e.g, Christmas or birthday), we do send printable gift vouchers. Simply make payment using one of the payment methods below and request a gift voucher.
We also offer private team building courses that can be arranged on a weekday.
How to Book

– We require at least a 50% deposit to secure your spot. The remainder needs to be paid at least 1 week before the course date.
– Simply choose one of the dates above where there are still spots available and pay the deposit (R450 per person) or full amount.
